Tuesday Tips 2: Effulgent Eyes

Hi Beauties!

Thanks for stopping by to read second post of "Tuesday Tips"! Today, I want to address five simple steps that many girls, including myself, are skipping. You may be skipping these steps because they are so simple, but in no means are they impotent.

There are numerous simple tips and tricks to enhance your makeup to it's greatest potential but for today, I am just going to address the alluring feature that people notice the most, the eyes.

1. Fill in your eyebrows
This is something that will make the greatest difference on your face. Eyebrows frame your eyes and your whole face. It can change your look from bland to fierce! You can fill it in with a pencil, a dark eyeshadow powder, or a whole eyebrow kit. I use the ELF eyebrow kit ($3), it is amazing and super affordable.

2. Highlight the brow
To highlight the brow, LIGHTLY stroke a white or light matte eyeshadow, powder, or concealor over the brow bone under the eyebrow. It will create an illusion by reflecting light and causing it to look like you got a natural eyebrow lift.

3. Choose the right concealor
This is crucial! When you conceal the under eye, use a shade with the same undertone as your skin. If the concealor is of a different tone, yet a close color, it will still look like a hot mess. If you are of a darker skin tone, like me, please stay away from peach undertones! It is not for us, it will cause our under eyes to look gray.
Another tip! Incase you were not aware, spf clashes with the camera flashes, so avoid products with large doses of SPF, you do not want to look like actress Taraji Henson in this photo.

4. Kim Kardashian Triangle
You may have noticed that the Kim Kardashian always radiates in her pictures. This is because she highlights under her eye. By simply applying your concealor or highlighter in an upside down triangle under your eye can disguise your sleepless nights and give a youthful look.
Top of the triangle should be at the outer tip of your nose. The other two points should each be on the corners of your eye.

5. Curl your lashes
I am being a hypocrite because this is something that I am guilty of not doing! I am an "out of sight, out of mind," sort of person. My eyelash curler is usually hiding so I keep forgetting to do this, but curling the eyelashes makes a huge difference. Your eyes will look bigger, brighter, and let the application of mascara go on evenly for bold lashes.

I hope this helped you! Please let me know in the comments section. If you are blessed with thick eyebrows, even skin tone, or thick lashes, you obviously will be able to skip some of these steps but, it is beneficial to be aware of them for when you want to "glam up" your look once in a while.
