Favorite Drugstore Lip Colors: Winter Edition!

Hi Beauties!

Whose college in the northeast canceled classes today?! Not mine! In Philly, we barely got a coating of snow despite the predictions of a ginormous blizzard. Thank you for that, meteorologists.

Yesterday, during my snow day in, I did what I do best...avoided studying and rearranged my makeup organizer. [Side note: If you are in need of an acrylic makeup organizer, visit Ross or Marshalls. I got a 3-drawer organizer for only $13 and it looks better than the $40 ones online.]

Towards the end of organizing, I reached the most fun part, my lipsticks! Though, I probably wear lipsticks less than 5 days a month, I have acquired trillions! A few are from Sephora, but the rest are from my favorite drugstore brands!

Since, we are clearly in the midst of winter, I organized accordingly. Deep reds and purples in the front, and the bright corals in the back, which I will revisit in the springtime. As soon as Halloween passes on the 31st, ladies start busting out the dark polishes, and the "smokey eye" seems to become super popular again. This is because makeup seems to get darker as the weather gets cooler.

Purchasing high end lipsticks for every season can be very costly and I personally love my drugstore lipies! Down below are a list of my personal favorites...enjoy!

Do You Want To Build A Snowman?

Hi Lovlies!

Lately, against this winter wonderland scenery I have been craving bold prints and colors! Bundling up in winter coats can be no fun because it seems impossible to show off the trendy outfit you are wearing underneath...

And, let's be honest, whether you will admit it or not, I know 90% of you have had a "Damn, I can't believe I wasted that outfit" kind of moment! :)

When it comes to dressing for the wet winter weather, remember these 4 things:

1.) Always wear a coat. Do not be that fool that walks out in 30 degree weather without a coat just to look cute.
2.) Buy a jacket that compliments your size and your body type.
3.) Earrings and rings are usually the only jewelry pieces that can be seen with a coat, so go bold!
4.) Cute headpieces, scarves, legwarmers, mittens, and sunglasses are a great way to glam up any boring ole coat.

For this outfit, I used my clutch (from Asia) and my earrings (Kate Spade $38 HERE) as statement pieces. With a houndstooth printed coat (Sears ONLY $17!), black leather boots, and a dominantly black infinity scarf (Forever 21), I thought adding another black piece would be too bland! The blue complimented the black and white outfit very nicely while giving it the perfect ratio of fun to chic.

I have to admit, winter weather does suck but accessorizing can be so much fun! Hope you enjoyed!

Punam's Must Try: Bioré Deep Pore Charcoal Cleanser

Hi Beautifuls!

My name is Punam and I am a face cleanser junkie...

And today, I want you to say "hello" to my ride or die face cleanser!

I love to purchase random cleansers, masks, and treatments on impulse but, I keep going back to my Biore Deep Pore Charcoal Cleanser. This face cleanser comes to the rescue when I am most frustrated with my unpredictable skin. It is flawless one day, but can make me want to run and hide the next.

This Biore face wash deep cleans your pores for visibly glowing and healthy skin. If I faithfully use it for three continuous days, I see my breakouts decrease and my skin feels smoother and healthier. It gives a nice cooling sensation while deep cleaning, taking off all makeup buildup that you may have. Though it does not specify that it removes makeup, it usually removes most of my makeup in one wash.

For those with blackhead issues, this cleanser is especially calling your name!

I have persuaded many of my family members to try this cleanser, and not only did they purchase their own...they almost finished mine! :) Retailing for $6-8, it is definitely worth it for the job it accomplishes!

11 Degrees and Counting...!

Hi Everyone!

I officially started spring semester today and though it was raining cats and dogs, the temperature has been way below my age for my liking! It was cold before but now I dread going outside! If there was a fire, I would probably consider staying in...I know, it's sad! With only one snowfall, I don't understand how it can be so cold outside.

As soon as Christmas rolled around, I made sure I had all my winter must-haves in order . For today's post, I wanted to show you the one true pairing that I cannot conquer the cold days without, my furry red coat (Marshalls $25) and Isabella BEARPAW boots (HERE).

Winter accessories are the hardest to shop for, you only want to buy the trendiest gear but also want them to serve the goal to keep you warm. This year I traded in my bulky plush jacket and ugly snow boots for these two items. It was almost hard for me to believe that something so cute could actually keep me warm!

The Isabella boots are the most reliable, comfortable, and warm snow boots I have owned in a very long time. The length and weight of the boots are ideal! They keep the snow out of my socks, assure that I keep my balance on ice, protect me from the arctic chills for hours on end. Definitely invest in winter gear that will not only last you this winter, but the next. Check out stores like Marshalls, Sears, and JC Penny for trendy winter accessories that will last you years to come!

Punam's Must Try: Kat Von D Lock-it Tattoo Foundation

Hi All!

I have raved about this product before and I am going to do it once again! It has become a saving grace for me these past couple months and I must share all the details with you.

During the last few weeks of school, my skin broke out to a point which I would call "no point of return". I am so thankful that I had this foundation under my belt for the holidays. My skin was so bad that I saw acne trends that I had never seen before.

Kat Von D has done an amazing job when she was developing this product! It is full coverage foundation that covers all the horrible scars, craters, and dyspigmenation that I currently suffer. I have spoken to numerous artists at Sephora and they all tell me the same thing, "Oh you want full coverage? Yeah, Kat Von D's Lock-it tattoo foundation is the best out there!"

Check it out for yourself. It is a $34 bottle, and though that may seem like a steep price, it is not compared to the usage that will come out of it. I purchase less than two bottles a year! I used to purchase at least 5 bottles of the Revlon Colorstay foundation which ended up costing more in the end without the same glorious payoff.

Stores like Sephora will give you a small sample you can try before you purchase! Hope this helps. :)

I Spotted Something Warm And Cozy!

Hi Fashionistas!

After the holidays, all I want to do is tie my hair up, lay on the couch, watch movies all day, and eat leftovers...I love to eat! However, I still had some last minute holiday shopping to do a few days ago and had to force myself to take a trip to the mall.

I had to stop myself from walking out of the house in my onesie! It was so tempting, but save your rugged clothes for the house or the gym, girls! To quickly get ready, look presentable, and get out of the house ASAP before the traffic, I tied my hair in a low messy bun and slipped this outfit on.

Even though there was no snow in sight, the temperature was too low for my liking. I slipped on my thick long sleeved black shirt (Marshalls $11) over my warm and thick Costco leggings. Trying to stay cute and warm is pretty difficult, but there is not a better piece of clothing for the job than a bold printed sweater or coat. I bought this tan/black spotted sweater a few weeks ago from Marshalls ($20) and I love the way it flares, feels, and looks.

Before I ran out the house with my black cross-body, I put on my gold watch (Kate Spade) and a few Alex and Ani bracelets. For shoes, I kept it shopping spree appropriate and wore a pair of BEARPAW's Womens Knit Tall HERE. Comfort is the key when you are fighting through crowds, but with this outfit and shoes, I was prepared to conquer the mall!

Hope you enjoyed! Stay warm!
